Our Story
Ohh Mom! Travel was created by me – a Mom – with three kids whose initials I used to name the company : Olivia, Harrison and Hunter. They are the joy of my life and I have had such fun traveling the world with them. I often found difficulty in trying to plan many of our vacations because we were a family of five who liked adventure. When I reached out to several travel agents, they always directed me to hotels they were representing and not to hotels I wanted to stay in. When I asked for “fun things’ to do with my kids, I was directed to stock tours that often involved a bus tour of the city and cemeteries. My kids had no interest in visiting cemeteries. I found that I did most of the planning myself for our vacations and when I did use a travel agency, I augmented most of their services with things I found on my own.
What things you ask? Instead of a walking tour of Madrid, why not try a Segway tour. Want to go on a bike ride in Berlin? Instead of a regular tour of Berlin, how about the last days of Hitler on bike? Something different while in Scotland? How about zorbing or ice climbing? Tired of laying on the beaches of Cabo, how about a camel ride? Love to eat? How about a food tasting tour in Paris? I found there were loads of fun things to do if you only scratched beneath the service. As I talked to friends, they agreed and encouraged me to start my own business. So here I am – Ohh Mom! Travel.
